Ivy League Empire Signs New Hot Artist From Africa
Ivy League Empire is welcoming our newest artist: JOE. a 24 year old upcoming artist from East London, South Africa. The talented M.C. was born and raised in Zimbabwe but moved to East London to chase his dream of a better opportunity. In both Zimbabwe and South Africa there is a vast, and thriving underground music network, there are many artist in all parts of Africa that are famous to the natives yet other countries especially America has never heard of them or their music.
JOE grew up listening to influential artists dealing with a variety of genres from USA and Africa. JOE was part of a musical family, his father and brother are both DJ’s, his sister is a singer. JOE was introduced to the rap game through the artist BOB. JOE would rap BOB songs. At one point during his high school career, it was recommended to him to write his own music. Some of the first songs JOE wrote were at the lunch table at his high school, surrounded by his peers. JOE is currently pursuing a higher education, studying general law at the University of Fort Hare. Law is something that he’s interested in, although he is very passionate about music. JOE just released his very own mixtape, Sui Generis Volume 1. The mixtape contains 10 songs, and he’s in the process of dropping his next mixtape. As well as releasing a few singles on all major streaming platforms.
